How do I put a picture in my message????

I am trying to figure out how to insert a picture when I write a message...and to add my own avatar under my user name...
I think I understand how to do the avatar, but it says my pic is too big and I don't know how to resize it....
feeling like a real dope here!

you're definitely not a dope. Try posting on the technical help thread. They helped me! It was a while ago, so of course I forget how!

If you have something like MS Photo Editor, you can open it in that and choose Image / Resize. If you have another photo editing tool, look for something talking about resizing and then try it after shrinking the pic.
