How do i post pictures that are on another website?

I know how to post my pictures. But say I saw a plant on another website, how do i post it here?

First you need get the URL of the image you want to post.

You can get that by right clicking on the image... several options will appear, one of which is copy image location.

Once you have the URL, simply paste it into your post and add the IMG tags to the front and back, and you've got it!

one thing, do you have permission to use the graphics at this site? the reason I ask this is that, if you link to their web site every time someone reads your posts you are using bandwidth from that site. This is considered bandwidth theft or theft of services since you are using another's bandwidth that they are paying for, this is frowned upon by most web masters. If you can post the link I will check out their terms and if possible I can post the picture on my web site and you can link to it from there

These images are directly from Disney and DVC sites, so I probably should not use them. Right??? THANX!

What about GIF's? Aren't those sites set up to share?

amid chaos: clip art sites are definitely for sharing, but most of these sites find out in short time how much bandwidth even small files can use. I'm pretty sure this is why disneyclipart.com no longer allows linking to their clip art. Folks that post pictures on the internet know that anyone that sees their graphics can do pretty much whatever they want with it so it's implicit the photograph can be used as long as it's not used for a commercial site and if credit is given it's given where it's due.I don't know about the legal aspects but I can say that's the prevailing thought with the web people that I know. so post the link and when I get home Sunday I'll put it at my place

Maistre Gracey: it's doubtful Disney cares about you using their logos, you're free advertisement and they probably don't have much concern for bandwidth but I stored these on my server and you can link to them

Ran...thanks for the offer, it is very kind of you but it was just a picture of a plant I wanted to post on a thread on the Flower and Gardening board. I would take you up on it if it was something I wanted in my signature.
