Yes I am an adult but I have never had to order flowers for someone out of my city. I want to send my aunt flowers for her birthday next week and I don't know how :rotfl: Do I call my local florist or do I have to call a florist where she lives?

Thanks (yes, you can laugh at me, I'll understand)

I would go on line and do it. It is the same as calling the florist where you live b/c they will just wire the order to her city and then a florist there will make the arrangement. If you go on line to say a place like Pro Flowers.com you can see what you re ordering. Just do a search for flowers and you will get tons of these sites. Also check naughtycodes.com to see if there are any codes for cheaper prices. If you have the Entertainment book there are lots of discounts.

My only suggestion is when you speak to your aunt ask her about the quailty of the arrangement. If it is not good complain and ask that another be sent. This would be my suggestion for ANY flower delivery company. I used to be a florist for 18 years(still wish I was) now I am a teacher.

Thanks so much! For all of the things I do online ordering flowers had never ocurred to me :confused3 I have placed my order.

I always use Proflowers. If you look at www.flamingoworld.com you can usually find a good coupon code for proflowers.com and/or another kind of good deal (2 dozen rozes for the price of 1 dozen is one that they recently had). Also, you can go through Ebates and get a rebate on the purchase too. I've never had bad luck ordering from Proflowers, and I've used them a lot. Hope this helps!

I always do a Yellow Pages search for a florist in the town I'm sending flowers to. If you call a florist local to you, they get a cut of the cost. If you do it online, that site gets a cut of the cost.

If you call a florist local to the recipient, ALL the $$$ goes into the flowers instead of commissions to 3rd parties. You get more for your money this way.

I used Proflowers once and my MIL said the flowers weren't as nice as the ones I get her locally.

Do a search on Yahoo for the town and florists in that town. Call them up. I saved $5 off of something I saw on 1800flowers.com by calling the local place they would have contacted any way.

If you need a trial run to make sure it all works out o.k., PM me for my address.

No, really. I have found that it works better for me to locate a local florist and call them directly. But I have seem some beautiful arrangements come from 1-800-flowers. I am sure what you sent will be lovely.
