How do I make plans and ADRs if I don't know the EMHs?

Hi~
I'm wondering if I've missed something. :rolleyes2
I am a major major planner, and am so looking forward to planning our October trip- which park we'll go when- and where we'll eat!
We haven't been since November 2004- before the new morning and evening EMHs started.

I usually like to take advantage of when a park opens early and will then use the park that's designated as having morning EMHs that day. :cool1:
I also will probably avoid parks that have evening EMHs since it really won't be in our best interest to keep our 3 year old up that late. :sad2:

How do you all go about making your dining plans when you don't know which park will have EMHs on which dates of your trip? :confused3

Some places we definitely want to make EMHs for are: California Grill for dinner to coincide with viewing the MK fireworks, Character Dining at Crystal Palace for lunch, Chefs de France for lunch, Brown Derby for Fantasmic Dinner Package, 50s Prime Time for dinner.

I can start making my reservations on April 17th. I hope I'm assuming correctly that hours for October should be out by the beginning of April.
When do you think I can expect to find out which days of my week/what parks I can expect morning/evening EMHs? Any way that I can take a guess?
Thanks!

Hi,

October EMH will also be released in early April.

But you have to go with the flow. There is a good chance that they will change, either dramatically or maybe just slightly, between April and October.

Thanks! That's great to know. I didn't realize that the EMH would be out so much in advance. For some reason, I thought I wouldn't have them until August of September.

Is it common for the EMH to change? You say there's a good chance, so I guess it's almost a sure thing that the park I think will be open early on Sunday (or example) acccording to April's info, will actually change by the time I go. Maybe it will be changed just a few days beforehand?

Is it a good idea to make two ADRs for different dates at the same restaurant that you really want to go to? That way, you'll have some protection for if/when the dates change. I also wouldn't want to make an unnecessary ADR taking it away from someone else who would like it.

:wizard: Iam hoping also..That the EMH's don't change for August...If they do it will really I mean really..mess up my ADRs.
For instance...I have CRT 8.10am for a non EMH morning,,,,,What If they change this to a EMH..that will really mess it up as part of the reason for having an early adr was to have the park to ourselves :teeth:
I have tried to make my Adrs for dinner at resort restaurants...that way if I have to change my plans at the last minute..I am not commited to being in a particular park.
For example..Iam planning AK on the Friday...a non EMH day...But my adr that evening is for WCC at the WL. SO if AK suddenly became a EMH park that day I could still go to another park.
I think the only park Iam commited to is Epcot..as I have an ADR at princess norway for Lunch
So If that morning became a EMH I would have to go anyway
