I've never been a crafty person, but I try. I bought some material to make a shower curtain, but don't know how to do it!

I bought a Plier Kit to put the gromets in, but I don't know how. The package gives very little direction on how to do it.

Can anyone help me??

I've made a few, but....

#1. I only make the fabric part... I use a vinyl liner on the inside.

#2. I don't put grommets at the top. I use a tension rod put a rod pocket at the top of the shower curtain. But I have set eyelets in my scrapbook and it is probably similar.... very simple once you get started. With fabric I believe the grommets are two pieces... top and bottom... line them up over the fabric and set with a hammer, as I recall... Do a google search for better directions. Or check DIYnet. com or HGTV.com

Measure from the top to the bottom, adding for hem at top and bottom. Measure your tub/shower opening from side to side and at AT LEAST 50% for some fullness.... I sometimes will double the measurement for extra fullness. I usually have to have a seam down the middle, because most of the fabric isn't wide enough. Hem the bottom, hem the top, fold over top and make two seams for the rod pocket. Insert rod, hang, done!!

I actually use two tension rods... one for the decorative curtain and one for the liner............HTH.............P

Thanks for your help!

I'll give those sites a shot and see what happens!

grommets are actually pretty easy to do with a grommet tool. I just use the vinyl curtain as a guide for the size and the grommet placement.
