How do I love thee....let me count the days!! It's done.......

Somehow I knew you would say that.....:rotfl:

I would pick the end of the stay for adding an extra day. Not because of the extra money you would be able to spend but---- Friday everyone would be traveling for the holiday weekend so that should make Sat an easy day to drive home. I really have never traveled on holidays.

At the end of the day I wish that your trip lets you both have fun, eat good food, and enjoy each others company as if you were dating again.

Are you going to bring husband a small gift for each day of the trip? Even cute snap shots of him with kids when the kids were toddlers. Stuff like that sure makes for good remembering conversations over meals :).

The trip is coming up so fast I need to start doing the sunny weather dance for you. here in the PNW we need all the help we can get so as to have nice sunny weather.

Happily reading Patty

The thing is we are staying the 14th, 15th, and 16th. The 17th is our driving home day. The day we are getting there we weren't planning on going to the parks just be lazy. That is why I am leaning toward the front of the trip. If we go to the park on Friday we have to drive home afterward. It can make for a long trip.

Patty, I hadn't thought about bringing gifts for him. What a great idea. I need to think this one through.

Thank you for the sunny weather dance. I am afraid we are going to need it because we haven't had much rain yet.

In another situation or for a different person I might have suggested adding the extra day to the end of the trip. In your case, Michele, and because of what you explained about the 17th being your driving home day, I think you should add it onto the beginning of the trip. I think it makes more sense for your situation.

Plus, you never know what could transpire in the days leading up to the 17th (meaning if something doesn't go as planned or crowds are worse than expected - that sort of thing). By the time the 17th rolls around you could be anxious to get home and then an extra day would not be as appreciated as it would be at the beginning of the trip.

Just my 2 cents!

Thank you Sherry!! That was my thinking. Leaving the kids with my mom and leaving Kacy to be the one to drive my van I am nervous. Monday Kacy and I are going back to practice driving again. I am so not excited and neither is she.

Well, back to planning again. We are less a month and a half until I trip I am ready to actually start thinking about planning some meals. WBG is working so much overtime I want to make this a great trip for him. Some of you may ask how will adding more to the trip make it better Michele? Well WBG loves to eat but not fancy like the Napa Rose, he is more blue collar than that. So my job is to find good hearty food.

I do know a few must haves for him. He wants to have the chili in a bread bowl from Refreshment Corner, and he wants a corndog from the red cart across the street from Refreshment Corner. Breakfast is taken care of because they have a great one at the Ayre’s. Although I am open to thoughts on must have for breakfast. Just not character meals, although Scotty would like that I don’t really want that.

There are a lot of places in Disneyland that I think would be great but DCA is where I am at a loss. The only times we have eaten in DCA it was on the Wharf for breakfast. I am interested in lunch and dinner options not at Ariel’s or Wine Country Trattoria. Any advice? I know there are new places so any input would be nice. Thank you. So now to start looking at menus.

The only places I can think of in DCA is the new Pizza and Pasta area. It's quick service, but it's ok food and not too fancy. There aren't any sit down places that aren't fancy in that side of the resort I don't think. But that area is worth checking out. It's not the greatest food, but it's not bad. I had the pizza and I liked it and Dillon had some pasta and he thought it was so-so.

Other than that, maybe look in DTD? Like EPSN Zone or something.

Also even though Story Tellers is Character, they are a lot quieter than the others, and the food is really good there. There is a menu as well as the buffet.

Well, we don't want fancy. Maybe for lunch we will hit White Water Snacks and for dinner find something else. Finding someplace WBG wants to eat in DTD is tough. He is a picky eater. Seriously.

:thumbsup2 All caught up here! :thumbsup2

You won tickets and a free night too! :cool1: I knew I had missed something when you posted about your disney mail being free on FB... now I know! Yay!

Tom is the same way as Scotty is when it comes to dining. He really doesn't offer up much of an opinion... just tells me to pick. :sad2:

Hopefully your DL buddies can help you with your choices.

ESPN Zone has your typical bar foods. Nachos, Burgers, etc. Does he like that kind of thing?
