Thank you Laurie. It has been a rough morning. It felt odd without Shelby there to tell me good morning.

I imagine so!! How are the kids holding up??
We gave them a chance to say goodbye last night and neither girl could say goodbye. Kacy went and hid in the bathroom for 20 minutes and cried. Kody was all caviler and then this morning had her breakdown with me. Loren last night said goodbye and then went and got his comforter for her to lay on while we went to the vet. I wouldn't use it though but I was so deeply touched by it. We had another blanket to use. So now I am doing the arduous task of finding an appropriate puppy.

Well it sounds like they did as best as could be expected. Such a hard thing, especially since it had been a huge part of the kids lives. Oh a puppy???? I see a big red Christmas bow around the neck of a cutie in your near future!!!!!
Oh Michele, that is so sad. But it sounds like she had a long and happy life.
How exciting to be looking for a puppy. That will help take your minds off of everything a bit. Any breeds you are looking for?
These are my fave at the moment:

Are you ready for Christmas Michele?
How about a lab or golden retriever? They are supposed to be some of the most loyal breeds, next to German Shepherds. Boxers are really nice too, but maybe they have more energy than the others.
I wish I was. I never feel ready honestly.

Awww...what a cutie she is! Will the kids be taking care of her when you head off to DLR for Valentine's Day?

What are you guys doing for christmas?
We will have lasagna tomorrow night which is a tradition and on Christmas Day I am making ham, turkey, sweet potatoes, corn casserole, mashed potatoes with cheese with cookies for dessert.
