How do I know my itinerary will work?

I've been busy, but here it is: Thanks for your patience, I'm going out of my mind! LOL!

RESERVATIONS------------REVISED! Disney dining Red is what I’m sticking with:
MONDAY SEP.27TH
Barber shop for Reid’s 1st haircut @ 12:00 MK
PIRATES LEAGUE @3:25***cancel or change ***
CRT DINNER @7:05 1 DAY NOTICE***cancelled***
California Grill @5 Thinking of tring for this? Or maybe O’hana? What do you think? I need dinner here or I will just do counter at Casey's or Pinnochios
Wishes dessert party @ 8pm

Do not eat that close to the dessert party! You will NOT enjoy it. I have gone 2 times and can tell you from experience. If you really want to do CRT, I would try for a time just after the haircut. I would cancel pirates league. Either that or just plan on eating counter service between haircut and pirates league. DO NOT try to go to California Grill or 'Ohana. It takes longer to get back and forth than you think.

What _I_ would do.
Haircut 12
TS lunch IN PARK 1 pm
Dessert party 8 pm

TUESDAY SEP.28TH
AK/E
DONALD’S BF @ 9:05
Nap or pool time for lunch or a little after for break
Chef’s de France(Remy) @5:00
Illuminations @9:00

Personally I wouldn't try to jump parks like that. If you still want to, you will have to leave AK around noon - which doesn't give you much time after your breakfast ends. You need to leave around noon because you won't get back to the poly until around 1:30 pm. Then in order to get to Chefs by 5 pm, you have to leave poly around 3:30 pm. That doesn't leave much time for a break.

You can park hop, if you really want to, considering what I said above about time. But I would get rid of Donald's bkfst because otherwise you won't get to see much of AK at all???

I would probably just make this my EPCOT day. I would plan on Chefs de France ADR (to see Remy, I assume) and then Illuminations. No other ADRs.

WEDNESDAY29th HS
Sci-Fi @1:35
Block party bash @3:00
Back for break
Photo session at Poly no appt. only if everyone feels like it
Luau @ 8:00 48 HR NOTICE
Anyone know how long luau is? Maybe downtown Disney after?

THURSDAY30th

This seems doable in terms of ADRs. Although the Sci Fi ADR seems a little late if you are going to be eating at 8 pm again.

I don't think you will be able to make the photo session. And I wouldn't try DTD afterwards!! I would imagine you won't get out of the Luau until 10 pm. No way would I head down to DTD after that with kids. Especially if you have plans for the next day.

O’hanas @ 8 :30***cancel?***
Captain Crooks

WATERPARKS
Back at the hotel for lunch or a little after for rest break J

Brown Derby @ 4:45 401375301961
Fantasmic @8:00 (go at least an hour early to get good seats)

California Grill @ 9:15 ??? cancel--------------
E/HS

Cancel 'Ohana breakfast if you plan on the water parks. Otherwise, you can keep them and then just hang out around hotel pool until time for Brown Derby ADR.

I'm not sure what you plan to get done at the waterparks, but I don't see that you will be able to do more than get to the waterpark and then have to turn around and come back. 'ohana breakfast wouldn't be over until around 10 am. Then get your stuff together and bus to the waterpark. Maybe get there by 11 am. In order to make your Brown Derby ADR, you will have to leave the poly by 3:30 or so. So you would have to factor in cleaning up from water park (showers, etc.). So you would need to be back at Poly by 2:30 pm or so. That means you will have from about 11 am to 1: 30 at the water park! Not worth it!

FRIDAY OCT.1ST

O’hana’s, or Captain Crooks, pool, rest before party
MNSSHP 7-12pm parade 8:15 , 10:30 fireworks 9:30

1:55 BBB ???cancel

2:40 BBB ??? cancel?

Try for 4pm appt.
Plaza @5:10

I would plan for this to be your rest morning. Just leisurely hand out at the hotel to enjoy it. Personally I would cancel the BBB and just make up DD yourself. Enjoy the hotel all morning/afternoon. Then get to your Plaza ADR and then the party. If you feel you must do it, I would make this my 'Ohana's breakfast day. But I would do a late ADR so you can sleep in.

SATURDAY OCT 2ND

Via Napoli @ 11:30
CP 1155 ???cancel-------------------
FOOD AND WINE FESTIVAL DAY
Movies on the beach@7
Campfire on the beach@8 may leave movie early AK
OHANAS@840PM
Downtown Disney?

I would definitely cancel CP. I wouldn't book Via Napoli either. Just enjoy eating around the Food and wine festival. Then you can head back to hotel for the movies and Campfire and 'Ohanas dinner.

One thing I haven't really seen mentioned about F & W on Saturday. It is VERY crowded on weekends because that's when us locals go. I did F & W on a weekend once and never again. It's okay from 11 am until about 12:30 or so. After that expect very long lines at the food booths, especially the popular ones.

When I went on a Saturday, I stayed about 2 hours and went to another park.

Crowds during the week at the waits at the F & W booths will be practically non-existant.

And you can definitely fill up on the food sold at the booths. But it gets expensive quickly.

Really? Skip dinner all together? I don't know if that will work with 3 kiddos? Maybe a hot dog or something for dinner if they get hungry?

I don't think it starts until that last day that we are there. That is why I put that there. I may give it a try and if we can't stand the crowds head off somewhere else.

Thanks for all the advise! I can't believe it's almost here!! I need to get to packing!:goodvibes

If you want to eat a dinner before the Wishes dessert party (especially for the kids), I would eat something light at a counter service place. I wouldn't do a big meal like 'Ohanas or California Grill.

Ok thanks Maggie! Now I don't have to stress over getting a ressie. :)

:cheer2:This is what I have left. I made cancellations. Thanks for all of your suggestions. I can also cancel some when I get there if I need to. Just wanted to have them in case. I can fill in open meals with counter service meals. :) I can't believe I drive down in four more days!:cheer2:

That seems more manageable!! And you aren't flying from here to there so much. I think you will have a more relaxing trip and will be able to enjoy your resort a little more!

Have fun!!!

This May help sooth your mind a little, our first trip to Disney we made reservations for every table service we had with the dining plan. We were there for only five days that time and still missed half of them,

To settle for a counter service is not a bad thing and often time more feasible for the day. This was in October for the Halloween party and we still just walked in places like PH,Chef Mickey's and stuff like that Now this could had just been very lucky for us, but it seemed to all work out. Our second trip we were more in a routine and my DM told me to toss the itinerary out of the window...lol...

But Make ADR's for sure....it is the only way to go and ensure a great table service meal at your favorite places...Good Luck and have fun....
