Hey guys,
OK I have read tons of posts on the pressed pennies and never really cared too much about them, however, after actually looking at some of the pennies on ebay, they are really really cool and I was thinking about getting my 2 yo DS a book when we go in Aug and fill up a book for him....just wandering where do I start? are there certain ones that I should definately get when I go? Does each attraction have a machine? I saw a set of 3 from the Tower of Terror, they were really cool.....just wondering about this.

Also should I try to do more than one book or just one this time around? Also how much is it to do the pennies, is it $1.25? I was thinking that was it....not sure. Any advice/help would be great.
Thanks
Kristy

I started when I was little and just started noticing the machines around. Most of the newer attractions have them, some of the old ones not so much. Also they can be found at most of the Disney resorts. The penny press is $.51 (2 quarters, and the penny to be pressed) and the quarter press is $1.25 (4 quarters, and the quarter to be pressed). Just get whichever ones you like and if you plan to get them all, I would really suggest keeping track of which ones you get and where because years later unless you take your collection with you, you might have a hard time knowing what you have. Happy collecting!

I am just starting as well for my up coming trip in 35 days. I printed out the list of penny press locations so I can check off which ones I pressed. (can't remember the website) I can find out though. Actually its for my 2 girls, my mom and grandma. I am ordering the books ahead of time. We cleaned pennies before 1982 (less zinc to show through) and got mini m&m tubes. Filled them up with 1 penny 2 quarters 1penny 2 quarters ect. Each tube holds enough for 20 pennies. Each disney pressed book holds 36 pennies. We filled up 6 tubes to do 3 books and have some for any mess ups. Hope that gives you some ideas.

Sometimes a certain design isn't where you would expect it to be. You mentioned the Tower of Terror - that penny is actually at the Mickey's of Hollywood Store.

Thank's! This will help us. I am going to have my son check off the ones he has and then we can bring it to the parks to figure out which ones he has.
