How do I go about making a room request at Grand Californian arriving on June 18th?

Well we have 11 days to go, so I really think I should make a room request for our stay at the Grand Californian.

My reservation is for a standard view, so I would like to make it the best standard view room, so any ideas or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Can you please tell me if I am to fax the request or call it in? And can someone provide a number.

I'd like to know this too. We are DVC members and are using points for our stay at GC. When I made the reservation I requested a king. But when the reservation confirmation arrived it didn't have that request on it. So I thought that I would call or fax a few days out from our stay to request it directly at the resort. I also wanted to mention that we are celebrating our anniversary the day we arrive. Does anyone know the prefered way of doing this?

Another poster said that she was told by a cast member at the DLH that requests should be called in 2 days before your arrival. I am guessing that it would be the same for the GCH. I'd love to hear if anyone has any better information.
