How do i gift a massage

Hi everyone,

I would like to purchase a gift for a friend taking her first cruise. I'd like to treat her to a massage. Any ideas how I go about this? Last time I cruised Disney, it was a mad dash to book spa ressies when you got onboard. Is that still the case?

I'd appreciate any guidance on how I arrange this, both logistically and financially.

Logistically, you won't be able to do anything. DCL rolled out a new system for making reservations prior to boarding. You have to know your confirmation number, birthdate and sign up to the website. At different intervals (120 to 75 depending on status) you can pre-book all your reservations (Palo, Spa, etc). So, you'll be unable to do that. Your friend can still make the mad dash to get ressies once on board, and from what I hear, DCL isn't releasing all the times for the on-line booking, so she might still get a pretty good time. As for paying, that's the easy part. You can "gift" room credits by contacting DCL and having it placed on their room account. I believe they have to be purchased in demoninations of $25, at least that's what the brochure said that I got with my docs. So, you can either tell you friend at the pre-booking window that you'd like to get her a massage and have her pre-book it and just put the credit on her account, or you can put it on her account and have her book it once on board.
