How do I get to the Whispering Canyon Cafe

We Will arrive at OKW on Monday 8/27 at approximately 12:30PM. Have a reservation at the Whispering Canyon Cafe in the Wilderness Lodge at 2:15 PM. What is the quickest way to get to the Wilderness Lodge from OKW using disney transportation and how much time do I need.

Taxi would be your quickest option.

Walk or Boat to Downtown Disney then bus to the Wilderness Lodge. Actual transportation time would be about 50 minutes. You will be cutting it close.

1 take first bus you see and ride it to any park or the marketplace - switch to the wilderness lodge bus.
2. Take bus to magic kingdom, switch to wilderness lodge boat.

No matter what you do the time will be tight since no connection is guaranteed. It could be a 30 minute wait at point

From OKW Take Magic Kingdom Bus to MK - then hop on the boat at the dock directly in front of the gates - and you'll be there in no more than 30-40 minutes from the time you step up to the OKW bus stop so long as things are running smoothly.

A lot of folks forget that you can take a boat from MK to WL!

We did the bus to Magic Kingdom and then the boat to WL from SSR last year and we gave ourselves an hour, We made it in plenty of time for our reservation.

If everything goes perfectly it will take 30-40 minutes. If, however, you have to wait for a bus/boat at any point it could take far longer. I would plan at least 60-90 minutes to be on the safe side.

OP, it would be quickest to takes taxi to the WL. It will take about 15 minutes and will probably cost about $15, but it will save you a lot of time. You can take the WDW transportation coming back when you are not on any kind of schedule.

If you do go with WDW transportation to get there I would take the first bus that comes by for EPCOT or the Magic Kingdom and then switch to the WL bus or boat. Buses to the AK, Studios or DTD will take you away from where you want to go and will, therefore, take longer.

I would change my dining plans. If anything is delayed even DME, you will miss your ADR.

I would consider Olivia's Café at OKW or a QS location that doesn't require a set schedule.

We did this from SSR two weeks ago - OKW is beside SSR - the bus to DTD is a very short ride, about 5 min, but then it stops at Pleasure Island and Typhoon Lagoon before continuing on to WL. Best plan that we did was take bus to MK, bus from MK to WL, and then on the way back took the nice, leisurely boat ride to MK and bus back to SSR. As long as you have at least an hour, you should be fine no matter which route you choose! And make sure you visit the Iron Spike room after your meal to relax and digest before leaving (it's in the DVC section and our favourite place to unwind and read or play checkers). But shhhh, don't tell anyone because we can usually be the only ones in there!

I have taken the bus to MK and then the boat to wilderness lodge several times. Even got the see the fireworks from the lake on our return last time!!

I agree with this. Bus to MK then boat is a safe bet. DTD buses can be iffy. And WCC will hold your ressie.main thing is you have the ressie.

Will you have luggage with you on the DME bus? If not, one option might be to head directly to the Wilderness Lodge from the airport. Just get on the appropriate DME bus. Were it me, I'm not sure I'd explain to the CM at the entrance to the queue, I'd just head to the "wrong" bus line.

Are you arriving by ME from the airport? Or did you drive?

If you are arriving from the Magical Express, hate to say it but I would cancel the reservation. There are just too many ways you could be there late.

There is also a bus between the WL and the MK so if the weather is bad enough to cancel boat service you can still get there via the MK.
