How do I get to Spoodles from MGM? How long will it take?

We are going during Star Wars weekend. I don't want to have dinner at MGM, so I made an ADR for Spoodles based on the great reviews they get here on the DIS. BUT... I have no idea how to get there! We've never been to the Boardwalk area.
SO... how do I get there? How long will it take? Also, would it be worth it to go back to MGM after dinner or should we just venture into Epcot?

You can actually walk from MGM to the Boardwalk (its about a 10-15 min walk)..Or you can take the boat. The boat stops at the Swan/Dolphin first..It might go to the Yacht Club and then to the Boardwalk Inn (where Spoodles is).. and then over to Epcot. I'd give yourself 30 mins (but I always like to be early) ;-)

Where do you get on the boat at MGM?

When you exit MGM go left. You will see the lake and the boat dock there. We find it is always faster to just walk to the BW from MGM. We did this walk many times on our trip last week. We were staying at the BW. When you exit MGM, walk straight as if you are going to the bus stop for the off site resorts. You will see a sign that shas an arrow pointing to the path that will take you to the BW. It always took us just 10 mins and that's with 2 kids in tow!

The walk is very easy and only takes about 15 minutes. If you do decide to go by boat, one thing that you can do to make it quicker is get off at the first stop (S/D) and walk to BW from there. You will beat the boat to BW, but won't have to have done the entire walk from MGM.
