How do I get to Shades of Green?

We are staying at the French Quarter but my thinking is...bus to MK, hop the monorail to Poly then walk to Shades? Is that possible? I hate to rent a car just to pick up park tickets at Shades of green. thanks in advance!

If you are taking the bus to MK and all buses stop at the TTC just hop the SOG bus from the TTC or you could walk from the Poly. It is not a long walk and then you can take the SOG bus back to the TTC

SOG buses run on a schedule and they pretty much keep to the schedule. There is a thread on the Resorts board that may have the current times.

We usually grab a cab early have breakfast at the buffet and then grab our tickets. You can take the Shades buses from there to your park of choice.

Just got back yesterday from SOG.

You can walk from the Polynesian in 10 minutes, taking a walkway across the road. You also can get a bus from the main transportation station every 30 minutes. The Shades bus is next to the Hollywood Studios bus, 50 yards from the gift store. When you exit the monorails, turn Left.

One quick note on the highlighted section is that WDW resort buses to the MK do not stop at the TTC but at the bus depot on the park side of the lagoon. As a result, if you take a bus from POR to the MK you will then need to take the ferry or monorail to the TTC to catch the SOG bus there.
