I have a great rate for Emerald Reserve (National) and am looking forward to bypassing the counter. But where do I go? Does National at MCO have its cars off site, so that we will be waiting for a bus? Or do we walk somewhere?
It's onsite. You go and get your luggage and then you take the elevator to Level 1 and you just cross the street and follow the signs to National (I think you must go up one level once in the rental car garage) and then follow the signs to the aisle of whatever size you booked. Just pick a car and load it up and drive it to the booth and give them your CC and your license and then your off.
After you get your bags, take the elevator down one level. Follow the signs to the National counter area - from there you go out the doors, walk across the street and follw the signs to National's location within the garage. Look for the aisle that has the size vehicle that you reserved. There are National employees around if you need to ask directions or have any other questions. It's really a lot easier than I made it sound.
I don't think I appreciated National's convenient location in the garage at MCO until last week when I rented from Avis at the Atlanta airport. The airport's website said Avis was on airport property. Well, you still have to take a bus. I had a large suitcase, another small suitcase, a carryon and my work tote bag. It was a real struggle.
At MCO, on the A side of the terminal, National is on the second floor of the garage. On the B side, they are on ground level.
