How do I find out if there is a special pin event while I'm at Disney?

Is there a webpage that shows this? I know there was one at Animal Kingdom when I was there in September but of course I knew nothing about it..LOL! We will be there January 5th - 14th.

You will be missing the Downtown Disney pin event, which is December 15, by one month. To find out if there are any other events planned for other parks, I suggest the you check out www.Dizneypins.com. This site has all the most up to date information regarding WDW and pin events.

You will of course be going to pin meet Friday the 11th at the Contemporary. We are getting famous now, everybody is talking about us as the pin meet to beat all pin meets.

Beauty I wish tere was a book that explained this pin stuff to me! I am however now organized with my pins! I have 2 of the binders filled now! they created 2 more collectors with us both last sep! LOL

I have my 100 years book getting filled, but it is actually filled up now while I wait on a big pin bag that should be in any day now and I have the Disney 100 years Bag completely filled as well. I'm on my way to Wal-Mart but I'll count them when I get back just to see how many I have got.

Beverly I think it was really your fault...Robin and Michael had me interested but like Bob when I saw that Tiger Pin you were wearing I know I had to have one..LOL!!

There are a few ways to find out about the new releases while at WDW. Most are not very reliable.
You can:
1) Ask a CM I know for a fact that this is the worst way to find out anything because I think they get a kick of messing with our minds.
I found out about the Christopher Robin 1000 LE at the pin meet. I traded for it and then went to pick my son up at Disneyquest. There were tons of them left so of course I bought 2. The CM told me they were releasing a new 1000 Le every day for the next three days at West Side. So of course I went to West side and hung out at the pin cart every day, Sat and Sun. No other LE Mystery pins. joke on me.
2) Ask other pin traders. I try this every trip. Sometimes I get lucky, sometimes they know about as much as I do.
3) find a computer and check out these boards or the other two with updated news. You may be warned the night before of an impending release.
4) THIS IS THE MOST RELIABLE METHOD OF FINDING OUT WHAT IS NEW.
Hunt around for Kathryn or Raul and ask them. I know Raul is often concentrating on other things so he is not really the best source (*He seems to prefer the UK flag) but Kathryn might know something.
5) THIS IS THE LEAST RELIABLE METHOD Get to a pin cart early and if they have a rope set up near it stand in the roped off area. You might be there for a long time but eventually something will be released. Be forwarned, they set up the rope for the pin trade parade on thursday night, I got hungry on Friday evening so I left.


* Raul spotted a really well shaped blonde with the tightest jeans invented. Her shirt was the UK flag. He kept running over to her pledging allegiance to the Queen and singing God save the Queen. He was prominsing gold skirts, and many pins,We had to drag him away. It wasn't pretty. Peggie

You forgot the most popular one. Find an open spot anywhere open your pin book and wait.

If you flip it they will come, be your own pin event.

P.S my wife had that blonde beat... take away her flag shirt (please) her stiletto heels, that peel away pair of shorts and those paid for accessories and what did you have……….
