How do I find a specific pin?

I'm looking for a pin (It's an homage to Norman Rockwell's self portrait - it shows Mickey painting, but he's painting Walt) - I know I bought one two years ago -
how do I know if it can still be found at WDW?
What store would be the best to try?

I think that's an open edition pin and still available. I would look at Pin Centeral at DTD or try the pin store on Main Street.

I looked it up and found this: http://eventservices.disney.go.com/pintrading/pin?id=216 It sounds like the one you want. It doesn't say it's no longer available.

You can look, but consider the pin was released 7 years ago.
I was thinking maybe the best place to see if they still sell them is the Art of Disney stores.
Otherwise trading for one on Pinpics might be your best bet.

I was hanging on hoping for an update. Were you able to find your pin?

I talked to several pin CMs, and most of them remembered it and really thought they still sold it, but I couldn't find it in the stores.

I was not able to buy it, but I did trade with a guy at Epcot for it - it looks different. He said it was an earlier version?
It didn't have a 3 dimensional mickey on the front, it was all painted on.
Sorry - I don't know the technical pin terms!

at any rate, the little boy got his pin for his class project!

I'm sorry you didn't find the exact one you were hoping for. It sounds like you are trying to describe either a pin on pin or free-d effect. I'm glad the one you found worked for what you needed.
