How do I copy something using just my keyboard, & not my mouse?

Generally - do a "control-c" for a copy, and a "control-v" for paste.

If you want to cut something - do a "control x" .
HTH!

Oh - and the info you want to cut and paste needs to be highlighted first!

Is this in MS Word? If so, place the cursor at the point in the document you want to start the selection. Press down the Shift key and then use the arrow keys to move down and either left or right on the lines. Once you have the entire section highlighted that you want to copy, select Ctrl+C to Copy.

Then you move to where you want to put the copies section and use Ctrl+V to paste.

Hope this helps you.

Don't forget: if you want to flip between open screens (copying from one to the other) hold down the alt key and hit tab until you're at the screen you want to paste to.

I guess being old has it's advantages, yes? We still remember the way things were done before the mouse hit the scene.

Too true. When I first started working on computers there wasn't a mouse. Everything was done on the keyboard. I have gotten away from doing that. I need to start doing it again more.

And pressing the CTRL key with the A key will highlight everything.

Is there still a way to make something ALL UPPERCASE after you already typed it? Or likewise, switch them to all lower case? There used to be a Word Perfect feature that did that. I haven't found it on MS Works, or for typing online.
