My older children have both been to wdw (at least twice) my youngest has never been...
Is it worth double the money to go to Disney vs. "the dark side"
We have all been to universal as a family.
I think I am feeling guilty that the youngest (age 4) hasn't gone and I know she is prime Disney age; but the money difference for us is huge...any help is appreciated!!
help/insight is welcomed.
Thanks in advance!!
Any insight

Add 1 day and take the 4 year old to the Magic Kingdom.
That's my thought as well. One day admissions to Universal and Disney are very expensive and if she hasn't been to the MK yet, you should take her. Save Universal for another trip when you can either spend the money for a single day admission or a couple of days and save a little money on the ticket price.

Hey fellow South Jersey-ite!!

Because the cost of the major theme parks are so front loaded for days 1, 2 and 3, and it gets cheaper per day to add 5, 6 and 7, we focus one vacation at a time. We did WDW in 2011. Then USO in 2012. Now planning on WDW for 2014.

The cost of one or two days as side trips is very prohibitive for my family's finances. There is another thread that has people discussing the value. It is an extra $600 for ONE DAY for the family to cross over.

Many say "worth it" and "do it". I say "We will catch that next time around."

They both complete for my hard-earned money, but never in the same trip.

I want to say thank you for your input!
We can not do a one day ticket, so our choice was really an either/or type of trip this year.
We decided that WDW is the way to go for us... just needed to hear some of the encouragement that the four year old needs to see it :thumbsup2
Spoke with travel agent and got the most incredible deal, so YAY  we are headed there this summer!!!!
Thanks again for the little push I needed!:thanks:

Hopefully you will try Universal one summer instead of Disney. Your family might just have a great time. ;)

Our last two trips to Orlando were HRH and each time we spent at least 8 days... we LOVE Universal! I think that was why I had the dilemma.:scratchin
We will go back for sure (just not this trip). I think the 4 yo should meet Mickey; then she'll go back to Shrek and Donkey ;)
