How do I change adult 1 (main contact for booking)?

I have 2 rooms booked for the same dates for an extended family trip, one room I will be staying in, and I obviously won't be staying in the other room. I was told if I am the main contact on both rooms that DVC might cancel my second room (is this true even if I have other guests besides me in each room?).

Anyway, I don't want to risk possibly losing either room as we will need both rooms for all of our guests. So how do I change adult 1 (me), the main contact for booking, so that DVC doesn't cancel either room. I can change all the other guests by clicking modify, but I can't change myself (adult 1).

You have to call member services and have your name removed from the second reservation. You should also be prepared to indicate who should take your place as the lead name.
 
Thanks. Then after I change the lead name, will I still be able to make changes online myself if I am no longer on the reservation? (ie. drop a day, or add a day etc), or will I need to call for that too?

You will always be able to control a reservation which was made with your points regardless of who the lead name is or if you're on the reservation or not.
 

You can have the name changed by chat too. I have done that a lot. Sometimes, if it is not available, just toggle around the site and within 5 to 10 minutes it will show up. A lot less time than waiting on the phone.

And, be aware, that I have held duplicate reservations for the same nights multiple times in my name (have some now) and not yet ever had DVC cancel them on me.
