Wondering how I can get the LOWEST rate for a one night stay at the DLH in either Sept/October (want to go for their Halloween decorations, etc). Do I book through the website, call Disneyland, AAA, or some other way?!?!?!?!?!?!?!

Thanks for responding. I know you have all the answers.;)

not sure if this will guarantee the lowest rate, but you could always call DLH to get their lowest rate...then check the website. if you have AAA, you can call them too to get their rate. i'd call (or check the website of) 4-5 different sources and make your comparisons that way. i've read about getawaytoday and ares travel a bit on the boards...you can try them. HTH! :)

call DLH and ask for their rate, then check their rate online (can you believe hotel prices differ between their websites and their phones?). for me (we're not staying at DLH), last year it was cheaper to book through getawaytoday.com, this year it's cheaper to book online at the hotel's website. not sure why. northshoremama is right, check all your options, compare, then pick the lowest. be aware that getawaytoday.com charges a processing fee above and beyond your reservations though. we booked a package last summer and they charged us an extra $20 for processing. hope that helps.

I went through this dilemma a few months ago. I wanted a theme park view and everyone, including Disney's site, wanted $355.00 a night. I called the hotel direct and asked for the AAA rate and ended up booking it for $320.00 a night, by far the cheapest I have found. It is still pricey but hey, this is the DLH so....HTH:confused3

Be sure and check places like Expedia too. Typically you won't get much of a savings there, but every once in awhile it works out. The first time we went to DL as a family we got a VERY good deal thru them (even w/ the fees added on.) I think mousesavers.com may have some good tips. I usually go there when we're in the planning stages.

Depending on how often you go/how long your trip is, getting an annual pass would be a good idea. We booked in August and October and were able to get fabulous AP 7 rates (which are by FAR lower than anything you will see posted). You have to specifically request the AP7 rate though, they will not just tell you it (you have to call and say you have an AP. As long as you have one at check in, that's fine).
