How do I book FPs for 8?

My day for choosing FPs is coming up in a week and I am really worried about how to proceed. Please dissers - any suggestions would be so appreciated. I am not a rookie and have used my strategies pretty well in the past. But I do not know how to book for a party of 8 and expect to get any of what we want.

I don't know whether to book all eight at a time, to teach my daughter in law to book so we each book 4 at a time. But if we do that how do we align our bookings so we all ride at the same time? Should I book myself and just do 2 at a time or 3 and 3 and 2? If i do that isn't it going to take me twice as long to get the FPs thus losing the advantage of being ready at exactly 7 am?

What do you all suggest? Have any of you done this before with a method that works well? EeeK! Please help!

I just did this a week ago. Do everyone at once.

Make sure everyone has valid admission linked and you are all connected on MDX. I had an issue where the mobile app did not recognize the park admission but the website did, so have the website ready!

You will not get 7DMT, FoP or SDD on day 1 or probably even day 2 of trip; regardless of group size. Focus on the hardest ones first (the ones I just mentioned). Do all 8 at once it will save you a headache and it doesn’t make much difference like it would finding same day FP.

How long is your trip? You should have no issue getting 8 FP for any ride even a couple hours after 7am for days 4 and on.

Also, for what it’s worth (though others may dispute), I found the website much easier to use to reserve several FP for many people for a large trip. Next time I won’t even try using the app.

I took a school group over spring break 2018 and booked all the FPs for 49 people. It actually wasn't hard to get half the group into one fastpass group. So around 26 people at a time booked for rides like Soarin'. I even got 18 people booked in one group for FOP. I always tried for the big numbers first, then would break it down into smaller groups if I couldn't get everyone together. It's very easy to overlap two or three groups into fastpass times that are only 5 or 10 minutes later than each other.

That said, you really shouldn't have trouble with 8 people. Try for the whole group first. If you can't get it, then break it down into smaller groups and see what comes up. You may have to play with it a bit.

The same as you would for one?

I've booked for 10 before.

If you're having a hard time finding things THEN I would start looking for overlapping times and break the parties down.

Thanks guys that helps a lot. I was really stressing over this.
I totally was too, and as long as you have a longish trip (> 4 or 5 days) - you'll have no issue finding the hard ones. Even popular ones at 60 days out like Splash Mountain are very easy to get for 8 or more people. Let us know how you do :)

I just booked for 10, and the only ride I had issue with was SDD. I could have gotten FPs for us all, but it wasn’t until around 8:00 pm.

I recently booked FPs for our party of 11 for our trip that's in 3 weeks with no issue. Like most of you, I was SO stressed. I would say you probably have to be more flexible with times than others (i.e. don't expect to get FoP right in the morning) but that worked out best for our touring plan anyways. I was able to get FoP on 60 + 2 for 8 people with absolutely no problem AND I was able to time NRJ for the remaining 3 people in our party at the exact same time.

I used the browser on my iPad for what it's worth, didn't even try the app.
