How do I book AP rate rooms with DVC annual pass?

I recently purchased an annual pass with my DVC membership discount. Our plan is to stay Sunday through Thursday at the Boardwalk and then switch to the Fort Wilderness Cabins for the weekend. I was hoping to obtain an annual pass rate on the cabin stay. However, when I go to book a room, my exchange certificate does not have any of the necessary numbers on the back to book a room at this discount. Any thoughts?

When I booked an AP rate room at the AKL in May, there was some confusion with my numbers, too. I can't remember exactly what the deal was .. something was missing though. The CM I was talking to was able to look it up and make the reservation. I think she found it using my name and address. I remember all this took awhile, but it was finally worked out.

I would try calling back .. maybe speaking with a supervisior. Good luck!

As far as I know, the only way to get an AP discounted room is to use the Best Rate Program. You can access the passholders' website with just the numbers on the back of your DVC-discounted exchange certificate. I used mine to book an AP discounted room earlier this year. (Don'tplan to exchange the certificate/voucher until my December trip begins).

Anyway, it can be a bit tricky to get the numbers entered correctly. You might have toplay with them a bit. I found this information from MouseSaver's to be very helpful - hope it helps you, too -

You can only book this program online and you must have a current, activated Annual Pass or an Annual Pass voucher in order to access the online booking. In other words, you can't book the Annual Pass "Best Rate Program" online without first buying an Annual Pass. Several readers have informed me that you can access disneyworld.com/passholders with an Annual Pass voucher (this supposedly does not activate the pass). Reader David S provided these instructions on how to do it: "The layout [on the voucher] is this:
AAABB MM/DD/YYYY CCC:DDD Tr: EEE FFF
I used CCC, DDD, MM/DD/YY, and FFF as my ID and it worked and got me to the site." Thanks, David!

Warning: If you order an Annual Pass voucher, have it mailed to you! Don't select the "will call" option. MouseSavers.com reader Carol K. reports that the Annual Pass "will call voucher" that is sent by e-mail does not have the correct letters and numbers that will allow you to access the Disney Passholder web site and book a room.

Best wishes -

This is not working for us. Our format looks like Tr: # ##, where # is a number and the rest appear to be spaces. I think I have everything correct but the very last field. I have tried combinations of spaces and the numbers that appear, but nothing seems to work. Any ideas?

Have you checked the Codes and Rates board because I've seen other posts about this on that board and I think there might be some other experts over there that could help you out. For instance, this recent post might be helpful: http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=942934 but if not, try posting about your particular problem there and maybe someone will have some suggestions.

Good luck!
