How do I book a stay for Jan 2007?

We are going from 1/24/07-2/4/07. I went to the Disney site to check rates and such yesterday but could only put in the checkout year as '07 not the checkin year. Does that make sense? Was the site just not functioning properly or do I need to call them? I am hoping for an AP rate at that time but was thinking of booking now and changing later if rates come out. Any help or opinions appreciated. Last year we used the best rate program and before that just called and got what we wanted when the rates were released for passholders. Kinda stumped on what to do this time.

Disney released its rates for 2006 in late May of 2005, and they don't allow you to book your vacation online until the rates for the year have been released (because they cannot be sure you'll hear and understand and agree to the fact that you'll be subject to the new rates once they're released).

If you want to secure a room and are willing to pay rack rate for it, regardless of what the rack rate is next year, then you can book the room now by calling Disney on the telephone. 1-407-W-DISNEY.

You can call them and reserve your room now and your rate will be adjusted once the 2007 rates are out.

Thanks guys! I thought that was probably the answer but had no idea why that would be - but the rate thing does make sense. Now - what to do what to do! Oh well! Just thrilled to be going!
