How do I activate this holiday gift card?

I got a red tinker bell gift card in the mail from Disney that they wanted me to load and send to someone but I decided to keep it. Went to disneygiftcard.com to transfer a balance to it but it won't work. Am I supposed to activate it somehow? I threw away the directions a while ago so I'm kind of stuck. I'd love to use it if I can because it's a cool looking card.

I was just going to suggest the same thing. There should be a phone number on the back of the card.

Disney sent you a blank card for YOU TO LOAD. Yes you better call them. Hard to transfer zero.

OP was not trying to transfer a balance FROM it. They were trying to transfer a balance from another card TO the tink card.

Yup. That’s what I was trying to do. I didn’t need to do it enough to actually get on the phone and talk to a real person though so it will sit in my desk. I have plenty of activated $0 balance cards I can use. Not a big deal. Maybe I’ll activate it at some point.

1. Go to giftcards.disney.com and enter activation code HOLIDAYGIFT18 (it does say YOUR code but I'm assuming it's actually the same since it's pretty generic)
2. Enter gift card number
3. Load the card

It is a pretty cool looking card!

Edit: It does say to activate by 12/31/18, so the code does expire.

Edit (Again!): For the heck of it I decided to activate mine and it will not let you initially load using another Disney gift card. I'm guessing you can then register the card and transfer that way, but to start it off you'll need to spend some money.

Well, thanks for the instructions. That is exactly what I was looking for. Just checked it out. Unfortunately I tried entering the gift card number a couple of times with no luck. Just not worth the headache. Thanks though!
