how do emh work?

I've never actually been to EMH as I've only stayed off site but from what I've read on the boards you just either turn up early if its morning EMH or you just stay in the park after it closes for evening EMH. There's no need to book :)

Only if staying on site of course lol

yes we are onsite for 7 night !! cant wait , so how do i know what days these emh will be ?? im trying to make some sort of itinerary so we can choose dining options and make reservations so need to have a idea which park im going to be in on what days ??

Someone will have to correct me if I'm wrong but i believe if you look at one of the sites with opening hours they should also show EMH, parade times etc :)

I can't wait to be able to do all the planning for my trip but it's not for another 21 month so I'm a little limited to how specifically I can plan at the minute! Haha

Happy planning :)

That is correct. There are also park hour times guides at the resorts and park entrances and you can see all the park hours on there too. The Disney 'week' runs from a Sunday to a Sunday so your resort reception area usually puts the new week's guides out on a Saturday night :)

Morning Magic Hours you don't need your room key to go onto any rides as they check this at the gate when you enter the park (evening EMH already has a park full of mixed onsite and offsite guests and they do therefore check resort ID's for rides and shows).

They will check ALL guests' resort IDs including small children so make sure you keep them all handy. If they are using the wristband system when you get there, that makes it easier, assuming you opt to wear them on your wrist. If not, have them on a lanyard or somewhere easily accessible.

Have fun. We love EMH

one bit of advice

if you choose to go to morning EMH, make sure you get to the park well before the start of the EMH
If you turn up at 8am for an 8am EMH it's not worth it. There will already be lines.

As a general rule, try to be at the park's gates 30 minutes before opening time.

holstar here is the link with the calendar , we are going aug 22nd xx

We stayed for a few night time EMH and no one checked anything for getting on to rides. In DLRP we had to get a wristband for them but in WDW no one asked for anything?

That surprises me, we've always had our stuff checked before we were able to go on the rides!
