How do children get codes??

I've read on here that young children are getting codes so I decided that I would register my 16 yr old, but when I tried to, I got a message that said you must be 18 to register to book a vacation. (certainly makes sense) So, it got me wondering... What are you doing so that your children are getting codes?
We are planning a quick trip in May so I want to do everything that I can for one of us to get a QSDP code. I'm going whether or not I get that code. I did get the 20/30/40 one, but QSDP would be a bigger savings.

Anyone who is on your reservation can start receiving codes, they don't necessarily have to be individually registered on the site.

Does that mean that they would just send it to them but thru MY email and not his?

My dd8 has had an annual pass a couple of times and she has been mailed pincodes on several occasions. None of my other kids had the AP, and none of the other kids have received the pincodes...not sure if they are related, but it seems to make sense.

my 14 year old recieved one 2 weeks ago. If he is going to be on the trip with us can we book it with his pin?

yes you can use it, we had that happen and we called and they said it was fine.
