How do cash nights affect the mousekeeping schedule?

I have a 5 night reservation at HHI on points preceded by 1 cash night. When will mousekeeping come in with this scenario?

If it's a cash night through member services, it is considered part of your points reservation, so it would count as the 1st night, the next day would be day two even though it's your first points day. You would not have to checkout and check back in.

If it's not through member services, then it would be separate and you would get housekeeping. You would have to checkout and check back in.

I can confirm this one. Just got back last night, and that is the case. Any cash nights, or linked reservations are counted together as one trip for mousekeeping.
