How do A&E Meet & Greets work for large group?

Hello!

Our family is travelling to WDW in August and I have 3 little girls who adore A&E and are dying to meet them. I am hoping to snag a FP when our window opens up but I was wondering how it works for large groups? We have 7 children and myself, my husband, my MIL and SIL. I was planning on booking a FP for all (11) of us, but what I really want is for our whole family to SEE our daughters meeting A&E. I am willing to "waste" a FP for each of us just to see them all together but wanted to make sure we could all see them at the same time and see our daughter's reactions together. Is this possible? What is the quickest way to do this once my FP opens up? This is our first trip and I appreciate ANY help! Thanks

Not sure if I am understanding, but yes you do have to book a FP for everyone who goes in the room to meet Anna and Elsa. Whether you are the picture taker or the one in the picture or just an observer, you need a FP. If your reservations are linked it will ask who you want the FP for and there should be an option to select all. Just click that and then pick the A&E meet and greet. Good luck!

Good luck with trying to get a FP+ for that large of a group. I had to split my group of 10 into 2 groups of 5 with overlapping times in order to score a FP+ for A&E.

That would be my suggestion as well. 11 might be near impossible, but 4 at 10-11, 4 at 10:15-11:15 and 3 at 10:30-11:30 would be a lot easier for example.

We had 9 people to book for our FP+ to see Anna and Elsa in June. We stayed up to 11 pm central time 12 am eastern the night we could make our ressies. Go online do not use the app. I tried to book all 9 of us first and I got no availability. So I broke us into two groups. I did my sisters family first. I booked just her 3 FP times one of them being Elsa and Anna. You can change everything else later just get your A and E FP+ at a time you want. Earliest will be shortest wait. Then go back into FP menu and copy the first time too the other small group. So I got hers and then copied it to her hubby and son daughter. They now have time for 9:05-10:05. I then go back in and get me a FP time again just choosing Radom other two rides that I know I'll change later. I got a time inside the first window 9:15-10:15. I then go back to main FP page and copy my reservations to the rest of our party. My DD, DS, DH, my mom, aunt, Uncle. We plan on going at 9:15 so we can all go in together. I have never used a fast pass so I didn't even know that it gave you a "window" So my best bet is breaking us up into 2 groups and trying to get an overlapping time? I am so glad I am trying to figure this out now and not later!!! If we have 2 MDE should I have both programs open and try at the same time? Good to know I can choose the whole group rather than each individually.... that would be a nightmare!! We are all so excited to see our "girls" meet A&E that we all juts have to be there!!! k:

Make sure your MDE accounts are linked together and then you can do it all from your MDE account. But yes I would expect that you will have to break your group up with overlapping times to score the FP+ for A&E.

Let me tell you my A&E FP booking adventure. I went to MDE online (app doesn't show A&E as an option) so I had been checking at least 10 times a day for our May trip with no success. They were in the process of moving A&E from Epcot to MK. I was sick on Monday stayed home from work. Check MDE at 7:45am nothing available. Check back at 9:10, I just select DD30, DGD5, and DGS8 and there was availability (thank goodness I was sick) I was so surprised I was afraid if I went back if would disappear. So I booked just them, I got 2:40pm but was able to change the time to 9:40. I then went in to try and book DD28 and I, I got 2:35 and was able to change to 9:35. I didn't have access to my SIL but I have DD MDE info so I was able to book him 2:45 which I change to 9:45. Sometimes you grab what's available and then change the times.we want early when everyone is still cool, not sweaty and wide awake.

I have been watching YouTube videos of the meet and greets and what it has looked like is while 1 party is taking pictures they have the 2nd party behind the photographer waiting so having all 11 of you shouldn't be an issue.

This is exactly how it was with mine. It showed no availability when I tried to book for 8 of us. When I split it into 2 parties of 4 I had no problems getting times. I booked for one group of 4 and then copied to the other group of 4. My times are only different by 5 minutes so one group is scheduled from 1-2 and the other group is 1:05 -2:05. I don't think you have to chose random rides, though, I think there is enough time to choose the rides you really want in addition to the A&E. That is what I did and I had no issue with availability (and I made my reservations prior to the M&G opening, and they have supposedly opened more time slots since then).
