How Difficult Is It to Adjust Dates??

I have paid for our vacation in May from the 17th - the 28th. However, it looks like we may need to be back home several days before the 28th. I want to keep the same amount of time at the resort, just bump the date to getting there on May 15th and leaving on May 26th. Is it difficult to adjust this? Do I have to cancel and re-book, or can they just adjust the dates? Any info is helpful. Thanks.

Assuming the resort is available for your new dates, they will just be able to change the dates under the same reservation. Now, any changes that cause a price increase would obviously be owed (ie now you have more weekend days, or moved out of a discount period...)

As the pp said, if your resort is available for the new dates, it's easy to have your ressie adjusted as all the CM has to do is change the dates. If you are booked under a discount, the new dates must fall within the dates of the promo as well as have availability under that promo .

It depends on what you used to book. We are going in March and ended up changing our flight to arrive late the night before. We got the free dining promo and are staying at POFQ. When we called to see if we could add another night to our reservation we were told no because our dates were "locked in", but we had previously changed our check-out date. This was still during the promo period for booking. I'm not sure what the difference was. We ended up having to book one night, room only at Pop Century. It kind of stinks though because we won't get in until around 1 a.m. and then we'll have to transfer resorts in the morning before we can even go to the parks.

We booked with the Spring Discount and we might actually be in a "less expensive" time because we are thinking about leaving the Friday BEFORE Memorial Day. As it stands now, we booked with Memorial Day being our last day there. I'll let you know how it goes!! Thanks for the responses! They really help!!

I was shocked at how easy Disney makes it to change. We first changed our dates, and then changed our resort the following week. Each time it was so easy! And we were booked under the spring sale too. I hope it works out for you!
