How did your love for all things Disney start?

I don't remember, honestly.

I was born in Long Beach, and before I was a year old, I think we visited DL once.

Then we moved to Japan and later Singapore, and while we were overseas I watched A LOT of the Disney VHS' and movies in theater. My love for the Nightmare Before Christmas began when I was about two, and I fell in love with it, watching it every day.

So, VHSes are my start. While in Tokyo, we visited Tokyo Disneyland in about '95-'96. When we moved back to California, we moved to the Bay Area. I visited DL twice in the 5 years we lived there, and we went to WDW once in 2003 and stayed at the Grand Floridian.

In 2006, living here in the Midwest, we went to Orlando again and visited the MK.

I know when my obsession started, though. I started looking up Haunted Mansion stuff in June 2007. From the HM, it sparked my interest in soaking up every little bit of Disney trivia I could. I convinced my parents for one last trip to WDW in June '08.

So now, two years later from June '07, I know just about everything about all the parks and am slowly working my way through classic movies.

And I snuck in a DL trip with my Disney Studios tour which most've you have read about ;)

Obviously the Disney films as I grew up with the videos and seeing them in the cinema, then in 1998 (I think) I went to Disneyland Paris and then 2 years later Walt Disney World...then in 2002 my addiction for the park's really kicked in and I was constantly reading about them, looking at pictures of every detail of the park, watching programmes etc. though I've only been again in 2007 :( hopefully going back as soon as I can....

My mom grew up in Long Beach, and ended up working in DL. She was the first female candy maker in the candy palace. So even though we all live in New York now, she totally kept the Disney tradition alive, along with my dad who grew up watching the Mickey Mouse Club, and loves the parks too. I used to watch Disney movies all the time, and I loved the Disneyland Fun singalong songs tape! My first trip was when I was about a year old, and it was to DL, where my mom still had some family. Then I went to WDW for the first time when I was 3 or 4. And after that, we started going every year, to either DL or WDW. When my younger brother went for the first time, I think it was to DL, he loved it too. He's obsessed with the Disney channel now and loves Winnie the Pooh. Our most recent trip was to DL last summer, and my mom, my best friend, and me are going to WDW for my 18th birthday this October! And like my mom, I really want to work at Disney someday too. I'm hoping to do the CP in my sophomore year in college. So yeah, Disney to my family has always just been a way of life :)

I took my first trip before I even had my first birthday and we've always gone back. We bought a DVC membership at Boardwalk in 2000 and I absolutely love the Epcot resort area, so I love going down there. I actually like the area more than anything. Nothing beats waking up at the BW, going to the bakery for breakfast, being able to go around Epcot for lunch, and then having a nice dinner later on. It's pretty relaxing and I sort of unplug myself from home. I don't take my laptop, I hardly text anyone unless I told them I would, ect.

My mum told me that when she was trying to feed me when I was little, I wouldn't eat it unless she gave me a picture of mickey mouse to look at to distract me xD

When I was little all I watched was Disney Movies and all my bed sheets, sleeping bags, shoes, clothes, was all Disney. Like I had Ariel sneakers, Ariel bedding, Ariel sleeping bag, Snow White dress, etc...
Then we went to Disney for the first time in 3rd grade and I was like "must.go.back" we went back twice and one Disney cruise.
i haven't been since 2007 and I don't even know if were gonna go again since, 'my brother and I are getting older'- my mom.
