How did your infants sleep at WDW?

Hi all!

I know that every baby is different, but I'm interested in knowing how your baby's sleep schedule worked while at Disney. I'm specifically interested in those babies around 7-9 months. Our daughter has no trouble napping in her stroller when we go to the mall for long periods of time, so I think naps at the park will be fine. However, I'm really wondering about bedtime. Currently DD goes to bed around 5:30-6. While DH and I have no problem going back to the room that early so that she can go to bed, we're also wondering if she could take a mini-nap in the stroller around that time and perhaps be up until 7-8 or so. I know the sleep gurus (Ferber, Weissbluth, et al) would say that this is a horrible thing, but I'm just curious what worked for you.

I know we will probably just have to try it to see how it works out, but I'd love any tips/stories before then!

Thanks!!!

we went when my daughter was 6 months old.. and we just let her sleep whenever.. she was sleeping through the night.. but, we didn't put her to bed till like 8.. that was her schedule before we went.. my only ideas are if she's sleepy, let her sleep..

also, dunno if you're aware, but if you have to get on a disney bus, you have to fold the stroller up.. very annoying, if you have a sleeping baby and have to get them up..

maybe do a trial run before you go.. try going for a walk around her usual betime, let her nap in the stroller, and then put her down for bed around 8 or so.. and see what happens?? i dunno..

Actually when my dd was 8 months we were up at Universal. I specifically stayed at the Kidsuites, so that there would be a seperate bedroom and where they had portacribs, not pack n plays. When we got back to the hotel, we could put her down to sleep in the main bedroom, where she wasn't disturbed, just like at home. She slept really well.

She napped in her stroller at the park, so her sleeping schedule wasn't too off from her normal schedule.

My DS was 9 months on his first WDW trip. He slept off & on throughout the day in his stroller. We would come back to the room at lunch time (we were there in the summer) & let him take a good nap in the room, & then go back out to the parks around dinner time (the parks were open pretty late). He would usually fall asleep in the stroller at the parks & we would take him out, carry him on the bus, & put him down to sleep in the crib in the room when we got back. He was usually so tired that he wouldn't even wake up at night when we would take him out of the stroller. One night I did stay back with him at the room while the others in our group went back to the park because I could tell that he was really tired (I was too!). When we got back home, he didn't have any trouble falling back into his normal sleep routine. So - that's my experience. Hope yours turns out as good as mine did! Have a great trip.

My son took naps throughout the day in the stroller and/or during rides/shows indoors. He wouldn't sleep in the play pen crib thing. He slept by me in the bed.
