I'm curious..I've been to Disney about 6 times now. I've never gone thru Disney to book these packages but now I'm wondering if this keeps me from getting PINs and such.

If you've received a PIN or a Code....how have you been booking your trips???

I have always booked thru disney but my sister has never been... she received a code recently because a few months back she inquired about the Disney Vacation DVD...

You can always call Disney and see if there is a code attached to your name... they will be more then happy to tell u if it is! :)

I got one back in novemeber about 4 days after I ordered the new dvd... seems to be ALMOST the same dates as the 40% off code but mine is for 30% off..

I have not gotten this new code out and really, really want it. I knew I should have just picked a date in Dec. for the bounce back rate and let the chips fall where they may--who needs to check schedules? However, I do frequently receive codes. Who knows how they dole them out? It might just be a random computer program that grabs people from various sources.

Last year I received about 6 codes at various times for packages and room only discounts. I received some by snail mail and others by email.

Disney has my first name spelled two different ways--the way I spell it and a common misspelling. They have these variations under three different last names for me--my maiden name, my married name, and my (legal, actual) hyphenated last name.

I have four email addresses--personal, work, shopping and junk. I'm signed up under various things under each email (personal, ordered planning DVDS; shopping with disneyshopping.com; junk is where the newsletters go; and I think I had an magazine subscription under my work email address once--discount through work).

The discounts come to the various aliases and email addresses. Sometimes I'll get a discount under two of them for the same time frame.

I have never been notified about a code but I have called and asked if I had a coded attached to my name. I have received a 15% before. I called last weekend and was told at this time I didn't have a code but check back again.

I have an Annual Pass and I always book through Disney BUT.....my annual pass has my husband's last name on it and the postcard with the PIN code has my last name on it. So I don't think I received the PIN through my annual pass records or my hotel reservations.

I read on the DIS boards once that people receive PIN codes by registering at the Walt Disney World website, so I registered there last year. I'm guessing that's how I got my pin.

DH and I stay at a resort 6-8 weekends per year and we've never received a PIN before, so again I think it's not related to my AP or our reservations.

Every time a pin code comes out, there are a dozen threads trying to figure out Disney's secret forumla. No one knows.

I used to book our trips via AAA, then switched to Dreams Unlimited. I've received two personal pin codes: one was four years ago when we already had the trip booked, the second is the 40% code that just came out.

I already had a family trip (four rooms) booked for April at CBR via Dreams Unlimited when I got the email (a couple of days ago). DH and I were planning a December trip, and the code worked for our dates.

There are people who get a code after just one visit (my DSIL, for example) and people who go several times a year, but have never gotten one.

If it helps.... I've been registered on the WDW website, the Disney Rewards site, Disney shopping.com, etc... I book our annual trips through both AAA and CRO, I order the new planning DVD every year, etc.... and have yet to receive a code.... :confused3
So... I don't know the magic trick to getting one :rotfl: :rotfl:
