After riding EE how did you feel?

  • Normal, completely fine

  • Slightly "off", just a little dizzy or shaky

  • Dizzy and shaky to the point that I needed to sit down for a little bit

  • Absolutely awful, had to leave the park and rest for a couple of hours

I felt "slightly off," but I think it was because I had the beginnings of strep and didn't know it. I did that with almost every thrill ride this trip. Overall, EE was great, the view you get of the park is amazing.

I'm with the "slightly off" camp. I get pretty bad motion sickness so I take an Antivert before I go to the parks, and not too much bothers me; however, I can "psych" myself in to feeling queasy if I'm not careful and I think that's what happened. I came off the ride and said to my friend that it was fun but once was enough...however, time heals all wounds and I can't wait to go on it next Saturday and I know I will be fine afterwards!

None of us felt ill, but DD & I did have "jello legs" while walking to Dinoland. Didn't stop us from going straight onto Primeval Whirl, though.

We felt the same way. The funny part is that normally Primevil "Hurl" makes us feel woozy. Not this time, by time we got off "Hurl", we felt great! We swear it "undizzied" us. ::yes::

for those of you who felt ill, did you sit in the front, middle or back? i'm about to put my 60+ mother on it next week & want her to enjoy it. (she likes disney coasters, loves splash but can't stand Tower of Terror).

I was one who voted needed to go back to my hotel and we were about 4th from the front.

I'll preface with, I can ride RNR, TOT, Hulk, Dueling Dragons, Kraaken........and feel perfectly fine.
I felt strangely shakey for about 5-10 min after getting off EE. No headache or nausea, just shakey. I loved the ride....and did it twice (and will def do again), but I did feel a tad weird getting off. It's definitely the part of the ride that goes backwards that gets me. I can tell. The rest of the ride is a piece of cake. I love this ride and won't let 5-10 min of weirdness stop me from going on again.
My youngest rode it with me and felt the same way. My middle child would not go on at all and said she heard MANY complaints ranging from headache, nausea, crying while waiting for us in the gift shop. My 19 yo ds had no probs whatsoever riding this.

I also voted "hotel" - and was fine on ride one .... in the back, but it was after ride 2...towards the front that life suddenly took on new meaning. :crazy2:

Does anyone remember the movie Armageddon?? There was a scene where they were slingshoting around the moon. They were pulling upwards of 11 G's. Everyone was freaking out but the Russian cosmonaut. He was laughing. That is DH and myself. We jump off any ride and are ready to go right back on. We are in our late 40's so we are not exactly kids either.

Actually I thought EE was kind of tame for all the hype it had before it opened. I have ridden R&R and I thought that EE was a lot more comfortable for my rather generous tush. Rode Tower of Terror with my kids last time we went. Forgot my own name, I was so shocked by it. But it was fun, and with a little cajoling from the kids, I rode it again. :cool1:

I am very prone to motion sickness. EE gave me no problems at all. I really enjoyed the ride and plan on doing it a couple of times when we are then in November.

I was there with a group of 14 in June and we all rode in multiple times in a row. Nobody felt even the least bit sick.

i rode it once last week, i sat in the 3rd row on the right side and i LOVED it. i would have gone on it multiple times but it was so miserably hot and we head straight to kali river rapids after everest. I can not express how much i love that ride in writting... it was just...amazing.

i felt no side effects after riding the ride except for utter excitement of wanting to ride it again....and again..... and again..... and again....!!!

I am prone to motion sickness. I voted for the hotel too. I was so sick, I had to sit for couple of hours. It is strange that Mission space is my favorite ride. I love it. Never get sick!

Fine after 1st ride. Got right back on - a little dizzy after 2nd ride. Sat out 3rd trip, but went back later in the afternoon to ride.

I felt a little off at first, but afterwards I was fine. I rode it again later in the day.

I have occasional vertigo and I loved EE! I wasn't bothered by the ride at all. I can't wait to ride it again next month!

I get motion sick all of the time, even when I ride in the back seat on car trips. :sad2: I can't ride MS or Star Tours and when I rode RnR I felt very disoriented afterward. The first time I rode EE was the morning after a very severe migraine (fellow sufferers know that a migraine feels like motion sickness combined with intense & disabling pain, sensitivity to light, noise, etc.). Anyway, I felt alittle woozy after that first ride, but I think it was related to the migraine hangover feeling. I have ridden EE several times since then and LOVE it. It is now my one of my favorites. I usually sit in the middle area and sometimes turn to look when we go backwards. I don't know if that helps anyone, but the backwards part is what initially got me. I was going to try the front next time, but after reading this thread, I'm starting to reconsider. Maybe I'll stay in my nice, safe, middle area. :)

I felt fine after riding it. I felt nauseous for hours after riding MS though, but I was ready to ride EE again right after.

I'm not a coaster person at all but LOVe the Mummy ride at Universal! I really want to ride EE this coming week....is the middle the better part for those of us who get a bit on the queasy side? I rode Mission Space last Feb and was a tad nauseous for about 5 minutes or so...still have no desire to do that again...however, LOVE LOVE LOVE Test Track...

so, do I do EE?
