We would like to stay at the same resort and the same room for 14 nights.

We are considering the WL. - bunk beds - courtyard view

We can only book 10 nights on one reservation and 4 nights on a second reservation.
We are going late June 2006 to early July 2006.
The day we have to switch to the new reservation would be the morning of July 4th.

Has anyone had 2 reservations for the same room at the same resort ?
Were you able to stay in the same room ?
How should we explain our dilema to the front desk ?

Do many familes check in on July 4th at WDW resorts ?

We are concerned we will have to change rooms and move 'down the hall'.

Thank you for any help you can give to ease our minds

Yes we actually had three reservations this summer! July 1-4 (regular season), July 5-12 (value season) and then we extended our trip until the 16th so a third reservation! It wasn't as bad as it sounds. DH just went to guest registration the morning the res changed and it only took about 15 minutes. We did have to get new room cards each time though.

We booked a stay for November for 11 nights with the dining plan included. Since you can only get a maximum of 10 nights for the dining plan (if you wanted the dining plan, in your case you could probably get 10nights +4 nights seperate for the dining plan), the CM told me that he would book 10 nights with the dining plan plus one extra night added on. Since it is all the same reservation, I'm assuming we will keep the same room. I had to pay $200 deposit down for the 10 nights+dining plan and then a deposit for the extra one night. Honestly, when I called DW to make our reservations, the CM didn't even question it and acted as if this sort of thing happens all of the time, so I really don't think you should have a problem.

thanks for the posts.
When I get my morning coffee, I will re-check-in for our 4 night stayand get
new rooms keys for all of us - DW & DH with charging, kids just room only.

Can we keep the first set of room keys as soveniers ?
My kids kept them from the Contemporary.

We had two reservations this year also at WL. Our first was for 6 nights and the other for 5. We had two rooms and we were allowed to stay in the same rooms which I was so thankful for because we had been upgraded to courtyard views which we loved. The checkout/checkin process went very fast. :sunny:
