How did you come up with your pet's name?

My siamese cat is Mia. She's so pretty she deserved a pretty name, and Mia kind of flows from the word "Siamese." I think she's actually a snowshoe siamese of some sort, because her chest and paws are white.

The other reason behind the name Mia ... is Mia Hamm, the soccer star. My cat seems to love to bat around wine corks, popcorn, bottle caps, anything on the floor, so Mia Hamm is actually what got me thinking about the name Mia in the first place!

She was a stray kitten... I found her at a few weeks old, meowing in the engine compartment of the car, trying to stay warm. Couldn't find an owner, and she was very skinny, so I kept her and cleaned her up! She's just a sweetie -- so cute and soft and purrs all the time.

We've got an all black kitty named Mittens after the kitty on Bolt. And we have a Tiger striped grey and black kitty named Zelda after the video game character. My 6yr old daughter named them

We have Sexy Sadie, our yellow lab, who was named after the Beatles' song of same name. Huge Beatles fans here! Somehow Sadie's been shortened to "Shea". There's also our three cats, all brothers, who are Boo, Gray, and Goldine (from Pokeman!)

Too cute on Sexy Sadie!!! I'm obsessed with the Beatles (ummm, duh....), I just had to throw in how cute that is! Shea could apply to Shea Stadium....

Emma was the name I had picked out if I ever had a girl. After being blessed with 2 sons, we decided our family was complete (human family, that is!). When we decided to add a 15 week old black lab puppy to our family, I gave her my girl name, Emma. Though she passed away in 2008, I still love that dog and still love that name!!

Our other dog, a fawn boxer, is named Amber. Love her a ton too, but we adopted her when she was 1 1/2 years old and already named.

When my children were little I allowed them to get the sweetest little puppy. They were fighting over what to name it. It was decided that the first thing it did when we got home that would be his name. The dog got out of car and went pee on a tree. Soooooooooooo, my kids named it peetree

Her name is Lily. It was one of my Grandma's favorite flower & still grows in her garden many years after she passed.

All of our cats have the same name, only shortened: Princess Angelina Contessa Maria Franchesca Banana Fanna Fo Fresco III. It's Dot's full name from the Warner Bros. show Animaniacs.

The shortened name for our cats have been:
Dot
Contessa
Princess
and Angelina

Dot and Contessa have both passed on. Princess and Angelina are two of our three current cats.

We also have another cat named Midnight, who came to us on New Year's Eve by a bunch of drunk sorority girls who found her outside near our house.

We also have a dog named Honey, She's a yellow lab (looks like honey). She is also as dumb as a jar of honey.
