I can't belive all this rude response to those of you trying to get the story on what you did to warrant a ban!!

After reading all these stories about rude staff replies and unwarranted bans, I guess VMK is not a good place to be. I'm afraid to play, in case I accidently do something that gets an IP ban and my kid can no longer play. You can't be too friendly with your friends (warnings for giving "hugs"), you can't ask them how they are doing (no personal information, like they are tired of the rain, or they had fun at the beach). You can't put in codes from a friend sharing their birthday present with you, because of where it was bought. An inactive character of only three months deleted, instead of their six months like they said.
Yet what I would consider real problems for considering my child to play on this game are still prevelant, like Taken, and trade scams. The other day I thought I would see if some new players might need help getting introduced to vmk, so I had my character in the Esplande. My, my the "Taken" problem is extreme in there, lots of 'hand holding', standing in corners together, "I need a girl friend" statements, etc. (including one girl character going up to every other girl character in the room saying things like 'your cute' and asking them to be
her girl friend). And that is where New Players see first!!
And if Disney really wanted eBay to stop selling VMK virtual items, trust me eBay would not allow it. Disney has a lot of clout, what it doesn't like doesn't happen. Instead they do a joint promotion to create new VMK items and recruit new VMK members. Instead virtual only items sell for hundreds of items, and then a friend gets banned for putting in a code that came on a card she bought for a friends birthday. I don't get it.
I miss the Happiest Place on Earth attitude. I had a cousin who used to teach "The Disney Way" at the Disney University. Disney doesn't teach it anymore. He teaches it to companies in Sweden.
I guess I'll go in at least once a week to keep my character active just in case I get over this. But I think I'm done with vmk.
