The natural...his view of Roy Hobbs and that "magic is aviable" and Bernard malmaud Roy Hobbs that life is tragic... which became a novel about tiger woods

"A Walk In The Woods" is not a great movie and is not as good as the Bryson book on which it's based. But being of a certain age, I like that he was willing to have a great adventure and it also gave him a better appreciation for what he has.

He did better movies, but that's the one that comes closest to providing a "platform" of my life.

He kept independent film alive and helped it flourish as an important part of one of the world's great art forms. The filmmakers he inspired and enabled have provided countless hours of happiness to my life.

CBS morning News had a lengthy interview with a critic as it's lead story and you are observant as you were parallel with his views about redford.....and I was surprised at the length of the interview... can't wait for Jane Sunday morning

His contribution to the awareness of independent cinema is invaluable. I can't imagine where it would be without his efforts.
