How did I get this rate with National?

A few months ago, I reserved a Standard SUV with the Emerald Club Product Code of 7232219 and a Rate Code that I have NO idea where it came from, not even sure I put it in of OK21 and got $316 for 5 days. Now when I just try to modify a time or anything, the rate keeps coming up as $569! I try making a new ressie with the same info and can't get back to that $316. Anyone know why this happens? At the time, I was just going to book a mid-size or fullsize, but when I saw the SUV was comparable, I chose that.

I'm just guessing, but you might have used a temporary priceline or other code that airlines use/issue to/for customers. :surfweb:
I reserved a Cadillac from National with Delta's priceline code, $250 total for our April school vacation week. :cool1:
It would cost about $900 without the code. :scared1:
I can only make modifications at the National counter. :sad1:
Good luck all,
Joe

How would I have gotten this if it is a "priceline" code? I swear I wasn't drinking when I made a ressie! The 723319 code just was in the product id box, and the ok21 must have gone in the rate code box. Could it have been a fluke? I don't want there to be probs but don't see how there could be. ?

So, if I want to change anything, should I just call National and have them change it? I'd love to have that SUV, but if there is any chance of problems, I'll just get a fullsize or mid-size.

We just rented a minivan for 9 days for $300 from National. We ended up taking an AM flight instead of late afternoon, when I tried to modify the reservation with the same codes it was now almost $900! I didn't modify the ressie and just showed up 6 hours early. It didn't push me into an extra day so they had no problem with it.

Make sure you try all the codes on Mousesavers, there are a few that typically help! You can also stach coupons from the Entertainment Book or BJ's website.

So maybe there were some good deals early on and I just lucked out. I guess I won't modify my ressie. Or I can try to call National I suppose. I did try the Mousesavers product codes and even found a $40 off coupon which I cannot apply to my ressie, but nothing beats my original ressie rate. It kills me not to apply that coupon! ;) I should just be thankful and call it good, but I'm always trying to get the best deal!
