How deep are vacation homes' pools typically?

We were looking at a 4-bedrm in WH, but I guess the whole pool is 4 ft deep. Does anyone know if some vacation home pools have more shallow ends (say 3 ft) and then deeper ends (say 5 or 6 ft?). Most vacation home web-sites don't say how deep the pools are. Thanks!

Most of the homes that we've stayed in have a shallow end of about 3 ft and gradually deepens to 6 ft. The 6 bedroom home in WH that we stayed at in Nov was like this. My grandson is 40 inches tall and he could touch and keep his head out of the water in the shallow end but that was close to the the steps. We've stayed in a lot of homes and the pools have been like this.

Most pools that I know of are 3 ft at one end and either 5ft or 6ft at the other. Not sure about splash pools that some of the townhomes have. Is it a pool home or a town home you are looking at?

Hi, this is a very important question especially if you will have little ones who do not swim and are not 4 feet tall. Please be very vigilant of children at any time and keep the fence up any time you are not in the pool area. Each year there are several tragic deaths from children wandering into the pool.

No reason not to enjoy the pool, but very good reason to be aware of the depth at all times...Ted

The townhome splash pools vary from 3 feet with a "bench" type of seating area in the shallow end to 5 feet deep in the deep end.

Most are 3ft in shallow end and 5ft in deep end from what I have seen.

All the homes we rented had pools in the 3ft to 5-6ft range.
