Thank you that’s not what I wanted to hear. The first party is on a Thursday will that make any difference? The very 1st party is typically VERY crowded because you have lots of bloggers and media that attend the event and want to get the story/pics out “first” of the newest merch, offerings, etc. I think it’s a better bet to attend another date in August or September, specifically midweek for relatively lower crowds.
I say “relatively” as a reminder because parties in general are NOT low crowd/low wait events anymore and you’ll often find the same level, if not worse than daytime MK crowds, but a Tuesday night party will often feel less crowded than a Friday night party.
Not at all.Thank you that’s not what I wanted to hear. The first party is on a Thursday will that make any difference?
Thank you for the info. We have gone a few years ago so we may just skip it. We leave 2 days after that so that would be the only one we could go to.There have been issues in the past where the bloggers get special treatment. They got a special area roped off to film the fireworks. They got to use the FP line for rides with special effects causing the wait time for regular guests to be longer. If that's the only day you can go, it's still worth checking out but pack your patience. There will be people filming all over.
Yes I remember reading some of those reports.I don’t want to over-generalize as obviously thousands of people go and have a good time, but people always tend to come away from the “first party” crying foul. Too hot, too crowded, bloggers everywhere, mega lines for the special treats and merchandise, never again, etc.
Happens without fail every year on the MNSSHP thread. Lots of excitement and enthusiasm for the first party - then first reports come in and the mood sours.
Where are the dates for mnsshp?
They have not been announced yet. People are speculating based on what has been reported about internal Disney calendars for August. More info can be found here:

Sorry about that. I tried to post a link where I saw the dates. That must be why I was having so much trouble. I thought since it was a Disney related site it would be alright.Just FYI, there are some sites that are not allowed to be linked/mentioned on DISBoards. If a website/blog site link is filtered when posted on the DIS, it is not allowed and may be removed. Thanks to all for their cooperation.

Can you explain what it means when you say "if a website/blog site link is filtered..."? Or please send a quick message? Thank you!
