How crowded will MK be on Oct. 1 with new celebration?

How much will the crowds increase just because it is the first day? I can't decided whether to avoid it or join the crowds in hopes of increasing my chances of winning a prize like the night in the castle. I know it can go to anyone on the property but I think the first day it will happen there!

I know there are tons of us checking on 9/30 to take advatage of free dining.....so it may be crowded....not crazy crowded, but crowded. Go & have fun! You won't know if you would have gotten "picked" if you're not there! We're going to AK that day, that's just how our plans worked...& I'm not changing them to be there on the 1st.

The opening of the new marketing scheme might increase things a little bit, but the big factors of travel that time of year are still in place, mainly kids being in school and hurricane season. Plus, they have no big unveiling's planned that day to really up the crowds, this celebration seems aimed at the whole year not day 1, so I'd guess you'll be fine.

I don't think the celebration will affect crowds at all. It's a year-long celebration.

We'll still deciding what to do on that day. Probably not MK because that's where we'll be going the next (and last full) day.
It'll probably depend on which park we enjoyed the most to that point.

Hoping the crowds won't be too bad. That is our first day and we had already scheduled Oct. 1st MK. Have ADR's for Crystal Palace for 9:15 that morning. Not changing our plans either.

Aren't they also saying that the Cinderella thing won't be ready until January 2007? Didn't think the suite was finished yet. So if that is your main goal to 'win' you might want to check that out first. Either way, good luck & hope your wish comes true!
