How crowded will it be Tues-Thurs of this week?

My husband has an unexpected business trip in the Anaheim area this week. We are AP holders and thought we would throw in a trip to DL. Then I remembered that the actual 60th was on Friday. Will it be crazy crowded?

Touringplans.com is calling for crowd levels in the 7 range, but that seems optimistic (they're calling for 6 on Friday - I think that's pretty unlikely).

It's July. There will be crowds.

Also, expect media events on Thursday at the very least.

I agree that Friday is likely to be very busy with that being the actual 60th anniversary day. My guess is that you'll see an uptick in crowds on Thursday as well as folks traveling for a long weekend arrive and because of the merchandise releases on the 16th. I suspect the rest of the week (Tue and Wed, in the OPs case) will be more like a typical July week; busy, but not capacity level crowds. I think that as long as you go knowing that it will be busy (because it is summer), you should be able to have plenty of fun.

Thanks everyone! We are not exactly sure of the plan yet. Most likely spending Tuesday night. We don't want to spend two nights just because the rooms are more expensive everywhere right now. Figment, what kind of merchandise is coming out on the 16th?

Oh My Gosh!! I did not even know about this merch. Thanks Figment! Wow, I really wish we were spending Wednesday night like we originally thought we were, but I now think we will have to go Tuesday night because of work for my husband. I really want one of those PH shirts with the cinch sack! Hopefully we can get it online I guess!

We are here today and it is not that crowded in California Adventure. I bet the crowds pick up a lot starting Wednesday. We just did RSR 3 times in a row with 5 minute waits in the single rider line.

I just got back yesterday from a five day trip. Overall DCA was quite manageable throughout the day (though it was at very best in the morning.) Dland was good from opening until about 11:30am and then it got really busy. The Dland crowds grew all afternoon into major massive congestion w apex at 9:30pm fireworks show. When that ended, a number of people left the park, but it was still a good size crowd from 10pm to midnight.

I will be going tomorrow and just made last minute reservations. Usually all reservations are booked. Although it IS July, it will be crowded but far more crowded on Friday.

I was there yesterday. Crowds were no worse than any Sunday during the year. Even Matterhorn only had a short wait for the first 2 hours of the day. The only really long lines were for Peter Pan, the water rides, and the usual suspects any time you go. DCA was like that pretty much all day. We left DL at 10AM, so I don't know for sure, but my experience previous weeks (2 June trips) is that Disneyland gets packed toward the later half of the day because of PtN and the new fireworks.

Been here since Saturday. It is definitely a whole lot more crowded today than it has been since we got here.
