How crowded to expect Epcot on GayDay Sunday

Hi! I'm not gay, so I hope you don't mind me asking a question on this forum. Me, DH, and DD2 will be at Disney during Gay Days, which doesn't bother me at all. But my question is this: Sunday June 3 is an early morning hour day at Epcot, plus I see it is scheduled day for Gay Days. Are we crazy to attempt to go there that day? Will it be just totally overcrowded? Thanks in advance.

My experience with Epcot on that Sunday was that the park has been a little busy, but certainly not what I could call "crowded." The busiest park, historically, has been MK on Saturday.

You really shouldn't have problems touring EPCOT, but as always, expect crowds at Soarin' & now, Living Seas, since it's been rehabbed everybody wants to see "whats new."

It always a good idea to have dining reservations, especially since the implementation of the Disney Dining Plan.

I think a bigger crowd will be at MGM for Star Wars Weekends.

Also keep in mind, Not all but most ( I think anyways ) will be out late Saturday night and won't get to Epcot until lunch time Sunday. Then it may get crowded !

Not to mention Epcot holds the most people of any of the WDW parks, so it never seems quite as crowded as the others. That, and you wouldn't want to miss the last weekend of Flower and Garden!!

Also, there's not an after-hours event planned (as there is for MGM on Friday), so there won't be that draw either. I imagine it will be a little worse than usual but (as Boston says), it will likely be a later crowd, so if you get there early, you should be fine.

Epcot should be fine on Sunday, as folks have already said. The Unofficial Guide predicts it to be a 7 on a scale from 1 (least crowded) to 10 (most crowded). Which means peak waits from 65 - 74 minutes are predicted.

Thanks for the info :thumbsup2 I didn't want to miss the Flower and Gaarden Show and ressies at Marrakesh due to busy, busy crowds.

Sleep late- my munchkins will be ready at the crack of dawn :sad2: Have a great time everyone we'll see you there :goodvibes

I think you will be pleasantly surprised...I am straight but have always wanted to check out Gay Days, so I went to MK today and was amazed at the short lines!! I had planned to just walk around, but I ended up riding almost all of my favorites. I might swing over to Epcot tomorrow (I live locally) because it was such a great day today.

If you'd like a straight (but open-minded) person's perspective, check out my blog: http://celebrationfl.blogspot.com

I did an entry on our experience today...don't get scared off by the photo of the crowd waiting to see the parade. It may look like a ton of people, but the park itself wasn't nearly that crowded.

Thank you very much for posting! Your blog is a great read and it's nice to see a straight person's first hand perspective. Oh, and now I have to go to Ohana on my next trip!
