And... when is president's week? Is it the week before or after President's Day (which is a Monday)?

My kids are off Friday before as well... So I was think to leave on the Monday night before President's day, spend T,W,Th,and F and half Saturday at WDW, then go to Universal hotels and parks for Sat and Sunday and Monday (thinking front of the line passes would cut down on wait times...)...

Is it as crowded as Spring break times?

TIA!!! :cool1:

Don't recommend Universal 1st, you'll get spoiled by FOTL & cranky when you have to deal with WDW. Last year we were @ Universal HRH from Sun to Wed before Pres. Day...with FOTL crowds don't really matter but, it became more crowded later in the day/week. FYI, Universal is rumored to be eliminating the "free" Express Pass system they offer - check out the U boards.

We were @ WDW AS from Wed. evening to Tues after Pres. Day...don't think I'd do it again, especially not @ AS (had cheerleaders & twirling groups!) Thurs. @ MGM & Fri @ MK, very busy - manageable with EE & FP. Disney Quest on Sat. was jammed, had to be near fire code occup.

As for Pres. Day (HA!), EE @ Epcot -all was going well until I whined to go to MK "...one more time...". Near gridlock, barely rode 2 rides in 6 hours! My family will never let me live it down.

Thank.

I'm used to going in the winter, and feel like we trade off good weather for sparse crowds. I don't know if it's worth doing when it could be quite cold and STILL have big crowds!

We've gone Pres Week for the last 2 yrs and will be there again this year. If you plan accordingly, I think it's manageable.

We are always there (MK)before the park opens and can see just about everything we want by noon. By then it gets packed and we leave, usually to EPCOT.

Typically in EPCOT you don't feel as crowded because it's so spread out but the lines for test track and soarin are ridiculous(and FP are usually gone).

We hate AK mostly because the walkways are so narrow that even the smallest crowds feel cramped. But again, by going early, we do pretty much everything we want.

Haven't had any problems with MGM. I've never gone on the actual Pres Day so I don't know if it's more crowded than the rest of the week.

I haven't been to WDW during President's week in a few years, but what I recall is that it was crazy starting the Friday before President's day which would be Feb. 17th this year and was busy through the Wednesday (Feb. 22nd) after. Hope this helps. Enjoy your time at WDW!

Mike
