How Crowded Is Mk On 4th Of July?

My brother will be going to WDW for the 1st time arriving on July 3rd.

Trying to help him plan. Is the 4th at MK too crowded for a 1st timer?

OMG, yes. He is going during an incredibly busy week. MK will close to additional guests on the 4th, probably sometime during the late morning and he'll be trapped there if he wants to see the fireworks. If I were him I'd probably go to MGM on the 4th (assuming he plans to see the fireworks from a park), Epcot on the 5th, and MK on the 6th. Regardless, it's going to be busy everywhere that week. You know the drill...tell him to arrive early, have a plan, and bring some patience. He'll have fun if he knows what to expect.

It will be very crowded. Most likely, the gates will close to guests by noon or so. Is he staying onsite or offsite? From what I've read around here, he should pick the park he wants to stay at and plan on being there the whole time. If he leaves, he might not be able to get back in.

Personally, I would not want my first visit to MK to be on the 4th of July. It might make him never want to come back!

We've gone a couple of times on july 4th. MK always shuts down before noon. We always pick another park to go to usually Epcot. The last time we went Epcot was great. The lines were normal for July and the food places were not bad. I would definitly not go MK on July 4th.

We have planned for the 4th and the 5th to be nonpark days! Out of our ten days there we are only going to the parks on four of them. I am imagining that it is going to be very crowded.

we were there a few years ago on the 4th! We didn't get on the 4th but did see the sign that it was to capacity". I would go the day before and after!
