I was hoping to plan a quick weekend trip to Disney for June 5 and 6th with my husband and 1 year old. We have APs and US airways has a great price special that I want to take advantage of.

I learned that Saturday June 5th is the Magic Kindom day for the Gay Days event. Does anyone know how crowded the parks are during the weekend of this Gay Days get together?

We went to Disney during Easter break and it was very crowded. Are the crowds worse or better?

I was in the MK several years ago on that Saturday. It was extremely crowded. We were there when the park opened and rode a few things then went to Epcot for the rest of the day. It was a nice day in Epcot, not very crowded at all.

Sorry....I forgot to say Welcome!! Glad you found us. Visit often :D

My partner and I went last year and MK is extremely crowded on Saturday. I haven't been over Easter so I can't make a comparison. Although it was crowded, I think we were able to see all of the attractions that we wanted to see.

If you are not staying on Disney property I would recommend going early. I have heard that the MK parking lot is full before noon.

MK will be extremely crowded on that Saturday, but the other parks will be much more workable. If MK is your preferred destination, I'd save your trip for another weekend. If you simply want to be in any Disney park, then I'd choose Epcot and have a great time!

It has been known to fill to capacity before noon on the Saturday. We were in WDW a few years ago but went to EPCOT that day. The CM on the boat was telling us it filled to capacity by 11am, which means they don't let anyone in after that. I couldn't deal with a park that crowded!

The other parks are usually quite bearable. So if you don't want to battle the crowds just go to a different park that day, you'll be fine.

EXTREMELY! We were there a few years ago and my DB went over to MK and the rest of our family went to Epcot. Epcot was not crowded at all, but he said MK was a madhouse. We've been in the week between Christmas and Easter and he said it was worse than that!
