How crowded is MK EMH on Thanksgiving?

I originally thought that I would avoid all parks on Thanksgiving, but now I am thinking that I want to do the MK EMH. I have loved doing EMH in the am in the past, we get a lot done with little wait. I would only stay for a few hours, when it gets too crowded I would leave. We have APs so we wouldn't be "wasting" a day on a ticket. How much more crowded is the EMH on a holiday?

Considering that, BY FAR, many folks simply will NOT get up early on vacation (a fact for which I am eternally grateful) we have never been to any AM EMH that was "too crowed", at least at the very beginning.

So, no matter WHAT, if you arrive at least 30 minutes before EMH opening, and head directly for your favorite AM EMH attractions when they do open the park, you should "beat the crowds" and have some fun.

Then, run like H--- for the exit as the morning gets later.

My Dh and I have found that am EMH are never that crowded. We are planning to go to EMH and leave as the park gets crowded on Thanksgiving. We made are ADR for Trail's End at Fort Wilderness so we wouldn't have to worry about park crowds.

We love to eat over there, and do so for several meals, Breakfast, Lunch or Dinner, each trip.

Great food, lots to choose from on that large buffet, and about the lowest priced TS meals in all of WDW.

No, we have never "stayed overnight" at FtW, but we do enjoy the "Hoop Dee Do", the Hay-ride, the Disney horse stable, in addition to dining at Trail's End.

And, as you said, the crowds seem to "evaporate" in that peaceful area.

Contrary to popular belief the parks aren't really that crowded on Thanksgiving day as opposed to the day before. Everyone just likes to sit around the resorts and relax however, the restaurants will be busy as hell!

A few years ago, we flew to WDW on Thanksgiving Day and when we checked in, the CM told us the MK was closed to everyone because it was so crowded. That was after 3pm, and it probably was OK in the morning, but they weren't letting anyone in that day.

The next day, we went to AK and it was a madhouse. That Saturday, we just drove to Daytona Beach for the day, and by Sunday, it was great.

Hmmm, well it is kinda hard to forecast what it's gonna be like for each day except during Easter, it's always busy then and prolly always will be.
