How crowded is Labor Day weekend?

I'm considering going to "the World" during Labor Day weekend of 2005. Dh is concerned that the parks will be packed. I'm thinking that many schools will have started already by then, so perhaps it won't be too crowded. Has anyone gone Labor Day weekend ? How crowded was it?

We were there last year ('03) for Labor Day weekend. I thought it was pretty busy as we were thinking like you.

Just go with a well thought out plan and enjoy. It seems that people view busy differently (just read the thread about Jersey Week) and try to zig when everyone else is zagging...

Dh and I have discussed how busy it is ALL of the time now, it seems to be a trend that will not be slowing down anytime soon. Off season has been discovered...

I think this past September may have taken a toll on some minds.

I would guess there will be quite a few people who are now scared off of the September time period because of what happened this past September.

Just a guess though!

You mean the hurricanes? Yes, that might affect some people's plans.

We were there last Labor Day and ofcourse it wasn't busy at all, because of the hurricane. And I really think that next September will be less crowded than usual because of the impact of the hurricanes. People are affraid this might happen again.
But please notice the weather, it was really hot when we were there and that's the main reason we will not return in September.

Didn't seem crowded Labor Day 2003 (but DH and I didn't go into MK, just MGM, EPCOT & AK; went this year for 1 day and came back home due to hurricane Frances
