How Crowded are the Disney Parks this week and next (Easter)?

We were scheduled to leave North Carolina on March 25 and head down to Orlando. But a couple of weeks ago I realized it was Easter week(s) so we rescheduled for the end of April.

so.... I was wondering how 'crazy' it is in the parks right now and into next week? :earseek:

Q: How many fleas will fit on a monkekys bacK?

A: Alot

Seriously, The parks, esp. MK, may max out for a couple of days. But, it may be doable with planning. This is why I like Nov......calm....quite....just the way I like it.

So is it worse now then in June/July?

For some reason when my wife told me the dates last year I didn't realize it was Easter but thankfully we could change our plans at such short notice.

I love Orlando/Disney but it's not worth fighting huge crowds.

It is packed solid today at MK. Easter week is really a busy, busy week, particularly this year since Spring Break is in there too. It's a bit worse than it will be during most of June and July, with the exception of July 4 weekend.

In your opinion, is it worse the week *before* or the week *after* Easter?

Also, how's the weather? Will we need a sweatshirt at night?

Though not there now, have been Easter 13 times, and have also done June and July several times. For Easter, both weeks are equally bad -- what usually happens is half the commenters feel the first week is lighter and half the second week, which kind of tells you they are really about the same, and besides it is really not easy to tell the difference between having 90,000 people inside MK and 91,000 (years ago they used to publish crowd sizes for MK at different times of year and MK size was about 85,000 to 100,000 during the Easter weeks, right up there with Christmas). Also, other than the time around July 4 (which approaches Easter size), Easter makes those very crowded June and July weeks (when MK has a paltry 60,000) feel like off-season.

We were at MK on Saturday along with thousands of other people. I was expecting the worst. We got on every ride we wanted to go on. We used the Fast Pass on a few rides. We were at the gates when they opened and walked right on Peter Pan and It's a Small World. (which just opened on Saturday for the first time since refurbishment!!)

We just had a fabulous trip this week. However we were at MK every day at 6:50 AM and left when the crowds came at lunch.
